  Star Harness – Solo Shibari Practice

  My favorite rigger is out of town for a while but I got such a hankering for shibari yesterday. I wanted to challenge myself, give my brain a sensual but gratifying exercise. I ended up following this tutorial:

  I had medium success! I got the shape down, got my knots and hitches to lay nicely. However, I was lacking some tension in just one area and it made the whole star lopsided.

  I’m going to give myself a break on it though, I have a feeling the back did not look quite right. Oops. I guess I can only contort myself so much, but on the other hand, maybe I need more practice contorting myself?

  

  

  I really enjoy the way this harness frames my top surgery scars. I feel like I rarely see trans* shibari models. Actually I think the only pictures I’ve seen of trans* rope bottoms have been from friends.

  The rope being trans pride colors is the cherry on top of this for me.

  I wanted to link where I got the rope from, but the shop has completely disappeared off of Etsy. We must’ve lost them in the most recent NSFW purge by Etsy. : (
